Default Advice please..................

Hello all, i am in the process of buying a sierra sapphire 4x4 cossie, but i am wondering what intercooler is best for it as its got a standard one on it. Ive seen airtek coolers on auto specialists web site are these any good or not ? Can anyone advise me which is best to buy ?

Thanks

Matt

Genuine 500 or Proalloy i think are the best ones - not that that means the others are crap!

mechanic28 Its running a T34, dark greens, with a boost spike of 30psi dropping to 24psi. L/C bottom end as well

cossie0_4 Have thought about getting the airtek but wanted peoples opinons on it good or bad ie fitting, air temps, quality of product.

Also if i put an alloy intercooler on the car will i have to have it set up after ? Sorry for the stupid questions but im not mechanically minded

The standard 4x4 intercooler will do for what you need tbh and is very good but the genuine rs500 or pro alloy as the daddy's!

Im running a 4x4 intercooler on my rwd saff running stage 3 approx 350bhp

You also want 1 of these ACT gauges for your ACT'S imho

s1robinb Thanks for the info, definately would like an ACT gauge, are they just a case of tapping into the inlet manifold and wiring up ?

go for the r&b one then cant get any easier than that as all you need to do is find a ignition + and a good earth then screw the adaptor in to the plenum.
the hardest job is finding a place to fit it (put mine in the place of the dash dimmer)

Have seen them fitted in the dash dimmer on staffi's, does it fit straight into the dimmer hole or does it need making bigger, and can you see it from the drivers seat ?
