Are you doing it on a drive or in a garge with a lift?
Its a hell of a lot easier on a lift but can be done on a drive albeit taking a little longer.
If its in a garage with a lift then the easiest way is to drop the whole front subframe, suspension, engine and box out of the car onto a pallet, lift the car up out of way and then seperate the engine from the subframe and lift off with crane...move crane out of way, drop car back down and re-attatch the subframe and suspension back into the car. Use same method in reverse to put engine back into a car.
On the driveway its a bit more tricky....disconnect all hoses, leads, cluch, accel, exhaust, gearbox mounts, prop etc....jack the front of car up a bit and put on axle stands (not too high) get the crane on the engine, get a few people to help you guide it out as you need to tip it back to get the gearbox out of the tunnel (take gearstick off too otherwise it can casue probs) and then tip it back forwards when its up out of the bay...then same way back into engine bay of next car.
I might have missed a few bits but you'll get the gist. been a while since I did one on a drive...mine have all been 4x4s but I have worked on a few 2wds in past.

As SillyFezzaMk1 saiys for on a drive
I did mine on my own with a crane out side the garage it was a pain tho
Bits to remove ;
PROP
SPEEDO DRIVE
CLUTCH CABLE
PAS PIPES
WATER PIPES
ENGINE LOOM (If its going into anther car then pull the loom from inside the car and leave it all connected to the engine saves time)
GEAR STICK
GEARBOX MOUNT
EXHAUST
UNDO THE TWO ENGINE MOUNTS
THOTLE CABLE
(Drop the engine oil out 1st makes it abit lighter
As said jack it up on to Axel stands (your need them for the backend of the gearbox to drop down to clear the slam pannel)
When lifting the engine rember to have the hook on the cain or strap (if its a strap watch it dont break as mine did luckly i had my hands out the way and it was'nt up to high ) As far folward as pos sounds strange but you need it to drop backend down as much as pos for the box
Mine was out in around 3/4hours (i think) and alot of swearing as i was doing it on my own
Have fun
