I have a set of light blues here with fitting kit already on them but a mate of mine said to me that he was told the the bottom plastic cap piece should be cut by the tip of the injector.......... can anyone tell me whats what here??? pics would be good just so i know

My greys I bought second hand had the bottoms cut off the plastic cover your talking about.

Had them re-conned/cleaned and they came back with new plastic covers that had no bottom on

Something to do with the spray pattern

Oh,and the fitting kit has got nowt to do with it,thats only on the top of injector to fit into fuel rail

We cut the top of the cap off a set of greys when fitting them to a mates sapph. Its to do with the spray pattern as CosKev3 says.
