Default Tappety sound ????

I am getting a tappety sound (quite loud) when traveling at reasonable rpm, eg motorway driving, but no at low rpm. Seems to come as the car warms up.

On startup the car is not unusualy tappety for a cossie.

Is this the tappets knackered ? or would that show when the car is cold and started.?

OR
could this be a sign of camshaft issues, .....the car runs fine by the way.

advise appreciated.

I would change your oil first to SILKOLENE PRO S 10W/50.
If you are using CASTROL RS 10W/60(?) this will be more prone.
If it still does it after oil change, it could be a number of things but I would try the oil first.

Get a proper oil pressure gauge on it at a garage and see what the pressure is m8

If your getting correct oil pressure you will have to take rocker cover off and see if anything is worn/loose

Its quite common for YB lumps to srip the threads in the camshaft caps
and come loose, seen this a number of times,
