Angry ST170 Help please!!!!

Hi all i have recently developed a problem with my car a focus ST170 where it is miss firing and spluttering with a significant drop in power it has developed this problem whilst taking long corners i.e. roundabouts it dies right down at whatever revs and gets worse the more the accelerator is pressed, not entirely sure what the problem is but with it beeing intermitent however more frequent than not ford cant seem to see the problem so any help would be brilliant

There are several potential things it could be, but id consider the fuel pump if its worse when cornering. Do you notice a change in the fault with more/less fuel in the tank?

Sounds like a fuelling problem from your symptoms......

However if you decide to break it I'll have the front lower grill

Mine did something very similar about a week after buying it, there is a plug in the head from the water jacket, it was put there whilst casting the head, and they leak, very slightly, meaning around the spark plugs fills with coolant, take the ht leads out, and with a long straw suck the water out from around them, but do not remove the spark plugs until the water is gone. I then replaced my spark plugs and ht leads for good measure.

New plugs and a new fuel pump solved the misfire/spluttering issues on my sons ST170
