i was wondering my remote key/fob for my focus is very tatty i was wonderin on ebay there is some going uncut, would it just be a question of re-programming the new remote key/fob and cutting the new uncut key blade to my existing key?

if it just the remote gone tatty then all ou need is the remote as they seperate from the key. then only the remote will need programing

wow I never knew the key blade seperates, what's the correct way to do that?

also does anyone know if I can reprogram the key remote myself?

A small screwdriver inbetween the remote part and the key blade will seperate the 2.

As for whether you can program them yourself....................only if you already have 2 keys. If you've only got a single key then you'll HAVE to go to Ford and get them to reprogram everything while they will happily take around £70 for the priviledge to do!
