Default frs running issues!!!!!

well we just bought a focus rs for my little brother and as i have never driven one i had no idea on how the car should pull??? after bringing it all the way back from brighton to lancashire i had really decided there must be some thing wrong with the car.

its absolutely gutless!!!! the boost doesnt come in untill 4 - 4.5k revs and by which time its time to change gear???

when you but your foot down you mite as well wait untill next week for the car to boost back up again ????

has any one else suffered this problem with there focus??? and if any one has any suggestions to what this could possibly be, please do so.

other than this problem the car drives fine and doesnt miss fire or stutter on idle.

one thing i have noticed is that the fans come on straight away when the engine is cold is this normal?????

its booked in with stu @ msd next friday to be looked at.

The FRS has ''auto aircon'' - turn on the aircon or direct the air blowers at the windscreen on setting 1 or 2 and it will automatically turn on the engine fan along with the aircon - normally quite annoying but also useful @ times

the first thing i would be checking is the accuator rod on the turbo as this has caused a number of problems for others!!
it seems that the rod is held on by a small 'c' clip which drops off and causes the rod to dismount from its locaton!!

worth a quick look just incase!!....may save you a little of your earnings!!

if so you will need to source a new 'c' clip but ford don't sell them seperate!! try you local hardware store!!
