Hello I bought a fiesta mk4/5 and have put some alloys on it
Took out the factory fitting radio and put a aftermarket one in
What can I do to tune the engine and what can I buy to make the car look better

Ye ditch the shopping list, its a bit 2003, lower it, what engine you running, 1.25, 1.3? It probably aint worth tuning the small engine, just an air filter and exhaust, you could spend thousands on it and only gain 20bhp, so my advise would be to wait until you can afford to do an engine transplant or buy a quicker car.

ill mostly be doing normal comuting and take it to the track now and again
my opinion On coilovers is its alot of money if all you want them for is so you can adjust the height
I would like to get coilovers so if Show it off I can slam it but springs are less expensive

Get the springs fitted, will look loads better dropped over those wheels.

Take the white stickers off the side, looks daft.

Engine is never going to be a rocket ship so spend your money on new bushes etc to stiffen up the handling and get it quick in the twisties.

They look smart these mk5 fezs so would just keep it clean and low.

Buy springs if thats all the budget allows if not get a second hand pair of coilovers.

Engine wise you best of ditching it and putting in a pooma lump only a couple of hundread quid

Lose the stickers imo

Agree with bin the stickers. Also either colour code the bump strips or to keep a red black theme paint them gloss black. ( colour code red imo). Lower is a given and just personally, imo, would like to see some side skirts.
Nice project and good base to start with.

[S UOTE=SJBRYANT;6443304]ive looked everywhere for a second hand pair[/QUOTE]

They come up every now and again, but you can pick up a new set of ap coilover for $400 which aint too bad. You wont need to roll the arches, but id ditch the 17'S.
You really only want 15's or 16's max

Not a bad little car. Are the rear arches rusty. 95% of mk5 fiestas have rusty arches.

As it's your first car mate I would just drive it and cut your teeth. In 12 months with that 1st years NCB under your belt you may be able to get a proper Zetec S. We all wasted money tweaking our first cars and if we're honest it was pretty daft. If we'd saved the money wasted we could have had a lump towards the replacement.
