Default ERST S2: Brake shoe fitting kit promblems

Hi,

When I was rebuilding my S2 rear drums, I found out that the brake shoe fitting kit wasn't suited for my brakes...
I noticed that the spring that is connected to the self adjust mechanisme is too short. Also the metal studs thad hold the shoes to the anchor plate are too long.

I re-ordered a fitting kit from ford's, and I still have the same problem....

Ihave theoriginal S2 brakedrums (229mm) and the brakeshoes fit fine.

Anyone else had this problem?
Burtonpower even states that the shoe fitting kit is equal for S1, S2 and all 1.6l mk3 and mk4's......

Please help...

So that's quite @%$# then!

How did you guys solve this? I have used small washers on the back of the anchor plate to reduce the length of the studs...
Would this give me any problems? The studs don't have the conical shape anymore to self align in the holes with the washers.....

thanks for the reply's!
