Default Escort oil pressure

Hi has anyone ever had this problem ? If I start my rs turbo everyday the oil light doesn't come on but if I leave more that 2 days the oil light comes on and stays on for around 2 minuets and has a slight top end tap soon as the light goes out the tap stops anyone got any ideas all I can think is it's draining back ?

Doesn't take 2 days for oil to drain back from the sender. Initially I would have suggested a possible intermittent sender however:
The fact you leave it running for "2 minutes with the light on" means you really have and continue to fuck up your engine (to be blunt..) - I only say this as the low pressure clearly coincides with the noise due to very poor oil pressure - sub 8psi iirc

I would still suggest getting a oil pressure gauge on there and see what its actually doing before going further.

Ah you added your second comment whilst I was typing the above. I'd definitely say its been built very poorly then.
Get a gauge on to confirm, then rebuild by someone who knows what they're doing

It was built by one of the best and well know builders in the UK so I wouldn't say it was poorly built just think it's strange am just waiting in an adaptor to come for my gauge then I will see what it's running

It does sound like it's actually low, the tapping confirms what the light is showing.
Odd that it's low from cold, what grade oil are you using, perhaps it too thick from cold and once warms up it thins out enough to circulate? Although usually this would give you a higher pressure from cold.

replace the oil filter http://en.filtron.eu/site.php/site/menu?cat=79
Speak to your engine builder immediately and seek his instructions and advice
