Had a Piper alloy but it wore down and was only a matter of time till the belt jumped. Ended up going for a steel version and had no problems since

Are the Piper pulleys known for this? I guess the alloy could wear away or possibly an issue with the teeth.
OTOH what belt was used on the car? On some cars (a previous car included) Contitech belts with their rounded teeth had a reputation of slipping as well as stretching in some cases. A number of belts (Dayco and Gates being two) appear not to have rounded teeth.

All alloy verniers run this risk. Its a soft metal, but is obviously alot lighter than its steel counterpart. The pulley had been used on a daily for 10yrs so it had done well tbh and it could have done another 10, but the slant of wear made me think it was more likely 10months,lol.
