what to modify?
prev posted in gd but might be better here. anyway, its that time of the year to bring the car out of hibernation and no doubt find some problems. so what i want to do is improve things to make the car more reliable/efficient etc. up to now i have thought of group a coil and better intercooler. its a standard s1 and have no intention of making it more powerful. are the things i have written worth fitting and will there be an improvement to a standard car? also any advice what else to do other than the obvious swap to efi which i dont want to do. cheers

keep everything as it is. just renew all components as you go. keep it as per fords design
my s2 is standard, has 177,500k miles on, is still the original engine, and turbo and gear box, has no mods apart from an exhaust, standard boost pipes, it gets driven all the time, never lets me down

the rs cvh engine 1.6 turbo is a marvellous engine left standard, theres no point in modding for more power (i know you said you were not after power) i like standard cars
