Noise and less back pressure probably.

I asked as i've done it to mine. I done it to mine because the T4 that was on the car had a .63 housing that had the wastegate seating welded up. Was you going to keep your turbo? Your manifold will need modding for the wastegate, plus you'll have to decide on screamer pipe. If you were to do track days (like i am) i had the screamer pipe ran back into the downpipe just after the turbo to keep the sound down

Yeah pretty much just for noise lol
Yeah im sticking with the T34
I was going to have a screamer pipe exit out the bumper maybe,
Any idea what size wastgate i need to go for and maybe what brand?
Does it just need a pipe bringing off the manifold just before the turbo?

I'm fitting an external waste gate and vented screamer pipe to a customers car probably end of next week so I'll get some pics up when it's done, we are using a Tial 38mm waste gate and probably going with a small rod and bracket to hold the internal waste gate shut rather than welding.

38 mm should be fine .
I had a rs200 44 mm w/g on my 3dr but I still got boost with revs
So I had to change it , so I got hold of a ex Indy car w/g which is 60 mm , so that
Should sort it , but that's only because it has a fair size turbo/exhaust housing

Oh and moderators please don't delete this post, this is not an advertisement, I do not supply or fabricate screamer pipes, manifolds or anything else for that matter!

What ex manifold is that? Could the turbo be rotated so it uses standard(ish) boost hoses?

I don't actually know who made it mate, but no the turbo can't, that's how it has to sit unfortunately, terrible for flow but nothing can easily be done, it's too close to the block.
