Default engine popped during boost!!

Ad just fitted new head that ad been skinned with standard gasket n standard bolts n was running ok! Did turbo a little few tyms with no probs! N went to show my friend n took him out DiD the turbo n boom! Felt like some think popped off n ad white smoke n n miss firing!! N was no water in bottle!!

I no the cars running some serious boost!! Is second gasket it's done it to in 2weeks!! I've brought car as project so don't no its past etc!! But previous owner reckoned was 200bhp+ !!Been told block could be twisted and to check that n to get uprated gasket n non stretch head bolts!! Work starts tomorrow!! Fingers crossed

Don't do any of that.... use standard bolts and Ford/Payen gasket (good for 350bhp+) but take it and get the fueling and timing setup by an experienced tuner and go from there.

First thing that I notice is the fact it's running "serious" boost. If you didn't know mfi has issues suppling fuel for serious boost. Then if it can supply the fuel it's normally a question of how long before it goes out of tune. In your case it wasn't tuned to start with. So expect nothing but failure.

2 gaskets in as many weeks is unheard of. Obviously has been rushed and not done right without having a setup a tune after.

For your piece of mind and pocket your best off fixing it coming over and let me check your setup and tune for FREE before any one starts.

Also second gasket was joke!! Mostly cardboard n little metal n after the 1st 1went changed my head as previous 1 could of been twisted which may of not helped .. like say running ok tho little lumpy n uneven!! Sum tyms running at 1000rev on idle n sometimes at 800rev on idle so deffo need set up .. tho I only live 5min from graham Goodes if you heard of them!!! Tho will cost ŁŁ

Try to learn how to use it before going onto forum, you're making yourself look like an idiot.

don't think many people would pay 4k for it knowing a bit about its history now or how you seem to drive it

I think what the opening poster is referring too, is that he allowed the engine to accelerate so that the turbo produced positive pressure.

"Done some boost" sounds like someone with a crack habit.
