Well thats 10 RHD Jewel Violets named, I thought there where only 9 left Plus I know there are more as I only have one Brooklyn variants (rumored to be 8) and I know off another but all I know is its original no. plate (M162 TOA) and its number 09*

142 is a LHD, imported from Germany to Sweden. Since im not at home i cant give you any more info, i'll have a look tomorrow though. 140 is also imported from Germany to Sweden.

ive seen number 09 at cumbria and croft shows its mallard , what is the difference between a brooklyn variant ? 009 got a private plate on it , the chap is from manchester and hes had it since new

When I was looking for a monte to buy I had always thought that Jewel Violet was the rarest but from talking to people and reading the posts on PF it seems that Ash black is the rarest by miles. (BTW In 8 months of looking for a monte to buy I only saw 2 for sale & one of them was a poor - overpriced example )
So settled for my large turbo lux..... One day I now fancy an Ash black monte, if I ever see one for sale at the right price?

funnily enough there are a couple more ash black montes than j/violets,,the reason j/violet is rarer is because you dont see loads of "normal ones" that colour where as you see loads of mallards and quite a few blacks

I read somewhere that the rarest Monte is an Ash Black with a manual sunroof

the only brooklyn one i know of was the one made for the m/director,which had burgundy leather fitted for him,sure this was just a one off,alana used to own it as well,not sure whos got it now

I've been speaking to someone recently who had a Jewel Violet with leather and bought from Brooklyn but he sold it and moved to australia, checked the details with him and it wasn't Alana's one have the reg plate but the couldn't remember the banana pod number only that it was ninety something..
I also read... can't remember where.. that there where 8 of these Brooklyn Monte's
Obviously its all up for speculation untill proven

I've got the brooklyn Monte.
As far as my knowledge of the history goes, it was a one off for John Brooklyn. Can anyone on these forums access Ford build records and put all these 'rumours' to bed once and for all?!

Ford didnt produce the Brooklyn Monte's any different from the others...

They would have been modified/changed at dealer level...

I have found a bad pic of inside and It was Build no. 092
It was Brooklyn suplied and had every option availible at the time.
I was also told it was the car used at Donington by malcolm wilson on the RS owners national day to give demo rides. (94,95 Not sure which)
I was there and remember that year but dont remember reg at the time.
I sold the car and it went onto a private plate.

Maybe I should have exported that one and not the 500......

Just remembered, YEARS ago I saw an escort cosworth in Gran Canaria! (1996)

It was a monte, didnt really know at the time but now I do. I took pics of it but god knows where they've gone!


So theres one in Gran Canaria ... somewhere!
