Santa Pod today
HI,
Went to Santa Pod today, had 1 good run and fuked the other 2 runs up.
12.21 @ 117 mph.
A bit confused at this 1. Look at the 1/4 terminal speed????
Hopefully will be better next time when i get my launches right.

Thanks rapid and cheers dave !!
Dave hope all is good with Yum ??
And that was with a full tank of petrol, since having the autronic management installed, and the old webber stuff taken out the MPG is shocking !!!!
Put Ł50 in her to get her there, nice easy 70 mph up the M1 LOL. Arrived at santa pod and still virtually had a full tank of petrol. The old webber used to suck it dry and i would of only had just over half a tank left, so next time Ł15 so less fuel = little bit of less weight, should if i get my launches right be a nice mid to high 11.

Neil,
I havent had it rolling roaded and tbh i wont have it rolling roaded, i prefer to drag race the car, thats what i had it built for and bought it for really, when the engine was first built by Mark years ago now, it made 406 Bhp and 410 torque.
That was on the old spec engine. Last year i went for autronic SM4 management system, GT30 turbo and lots of other good bits for the engine, including NOS, and my swedish gear kit was installed
Still need to get a high pressure header tank, sort my launches out and maybe up the 50 shot of NOS to maybe 75.
All in the power is probably in the early 500s BHP, torque maybe the same not sure tbh.
To me its all about how the car performs over the 1/4 mile.Other people will obviously have different opinions, but i really enjoy the 1/4 and have done since 1993

Agree with you there it more about how it drives than all out power, there is a 1/4 mile about 20 min from my house so once my car is mapped i plan on having a go to see what times it will do.
What diffs are you running as that and shafts will be my main worry, i have a 6 speed dog box and gripper diffs.

Neal,
Standard diffs at the moment, probably why i havent really launched the car off the line, i always feel a bit nervy on the start line LOL, im really happy with the swedish gearbox, but if that goes ping then im in a world of hurt, due to the lack of spares, and will probably have to go to a barra box (heard lots of good things)
I had a good chat with Dave yesterday regarding diffs and stuff, so maybe early next year (if nothing breaks this year) then ill get some uprated diffs front and back. But this year i hopefully will be doing 1 drag event a month, and hopefully i want to try and get to as many different drag circuits as possible. Done the pod, North Weald on the 8th June, and shakey in july hopefully, September maybe crail in Scotland.
I take it if you only live 20 mins from a drag circuit and living up in scotland, crail is your nearest?? I have a friend who lives up there, and might be coming up in the cossie in September.
What spec is yours if you dont mind me asking, and i bet you cant wait to get it on the track!!
Regards
