Too hard to say really mate, but ive seen them advertised for from as little as £14k upto say £20k. It all depends on spec and condition and until you look at a few, you never know if its 'worth' it.
I wouldnt be too bothered about a full ford history either mate. Just look for a decent history in general as many people actually see ford only history as a bad thing now. You need to be having a look at AT LEAST half a dozen so you have a bench mark to work too and youll soon know when the right one pops up. It depends how fussy you are too. £14k will not get you a mint one, in fact your looking very close to £20k if not more for a minter, with excellent ones going for £16k+ in my opinion. But i suppose it depends on how YOU judge 'average', 'excellent' and 'mint'.

Yeah I'd really want a low mileage unmolested example which I expect will a) be hard to find and b) not cheap!

There are loads of low milers out there and they do come up on Ebay and Piston heads, they go for top money though and I would say under 30k miles would be 18k+ easily, the skies the limit top end, some very low mile cars have sold for 25k+

I'm Finding My Feet Here Now
|
Hi Mate,
What S1RST and Matcos say is spot on. If you are looking for a good car with less than 30k, I would suggest that you should be looking to spend 15k or more. As for problems to look out for, there is a thread somewhere on here that I used when i bought mine. If I find it I will stick the link up for you. lastly, if you need to know how an EscCos should look, inside, outside underneath or anywhere for that matter check out Matcos's concourse preparation thread. It is excellent, and I will be using it whenever I do any work on my EscCos. i hope this helps. :

Thanks for your help chaps it been great! This Escort Cossie business has really got hold of me...
I do like the concourse but then I like "natural" like my 6k S1 which although mint would not beat the concours boys. PS I do like the dark blue not sure what they call it? |
