Do you have to take the dash off to fit a new heater matrix or is they an easier way?

can be done without removing dash but its an absolute Łcuking nightmare

IIRC I still had to loosen screws hlding dash in

In the heater box behind centre console

can be done without removing dash, still a pain in the arse though, i had the centre console out already, you need to remove the heater control panel & the pipes leading to this, remove the centre bracket etc, remove the 2 main heater box nuts & pull the heater box back enough to slide the matrix out.
to be fair its just as easy to remove the dash & not struggle!

how do you take the dash off? how is it held in and where?

Remove the dash for ease especially if you have aircon!!!

My heater motor works fine but i dont have hardly any air coming out of the vents,all the pipes are on.Any ideas,ithink something is broken in the heater box........fookin nightmare to take out

Could be the levers on the side of the heater box, come away from heater control cables
