Default What BHP

What BHP do you reckon you could get out of an Rsi,, (still on CVh with coils) i have got mags from th 80s where there is RSis with K&N Filter
and janspeed exhaust and manifold with 130BHP ish, i have owned 2 and hoep to get another one next year, just be interesting to hear what sort of engine builds and BHP people think are possible?

what sort of BHP is this one,, looks like it might be a bit more than the last shoot out it done!! nice job

Scott,

It's kevin flatman's RSi - the one that used to have a low millage RSi.

Since the mag feature,which it had a clutch that was slipping - it has recorded high figures - i'd say more around the 140+ bhp

can someone explain to me how the rsi in the pic above has a k&n cone filter and if there is some kind of kit you can buy to do this?

yeah i know it was ages ago but i remembered the pic with the k&n-nowhere sells the cones for 16i's. and coz theres hardly any posts in this section i knew some1 wud spot it had been replied to recently, so any ideas???

The car in question is running Vauxhall electronic fuel injection (mappable) thus able to run cone filter...........

You can always get a K&N panel Filter and drill the airbox out, its just as good

Its got Astra injectors and an Emerald ECU. So I'm led to beleive.

If anyone know the true origins of the engine componants I would be interested to know.

I doubt it has 140 bhp??? But I will have to get it on the rollers to find out.

Kev, if you read this, can I get hold of the software to map the ecu?

You bought the RS off Kev?

If i remember rightly he got it all done at a company called 'BTEC Motorsport' and spent many ££££££'s doing so

They have used that system before ,on a few cars (vauxhalls) - but never on a FORD

Lets just say,its mental - mental to drive................

if i had the money / car - i'd b having something like that done to mine
