Beer Belly
I have small remains of my beer belly still, and I was wondering what is best to get rid of it?

I ice skate 4 times a week... that has helped burn off some stomach fat.
That is hard work... hockey skates at full pelt lol.
Just got to get back into ice hockey now!

Afraid not. Sit ups will build up and tone the stomach muscle not get rid of fat. You won't see the benefits until you trim down. Sit ups aren't a heavy calorie burner.
You need to do the follwoing to trim down:
1. Stop drinking as it attacks the liver, slows metabolism meaning everything you eat will not be broken down and used properly. If that wasn't bad enough it has mega calories.
2. Work on cleaning up the diet, cutting carbohydrates, IE> the things that taste nice, cakes, crisps, chocolate etc.
3. Go running in the AM before breakfast so that you burn the storage/beer gut off and not your morning cereal. Then eat about 40 mins+ after you get back. What you burn off in your sleep will also add to the deficit.
After a while you will get to love cardio. Once the throat burn and loss off breathe easilly disappears. Then work on distance and recovery time. By some decent running shoes though, and no not NIKE AIR or Addidas. Ł50 mizuno asics gel will do. Otherwise shin splints and shock pains will arrive.
