Default Green Stuf Pads V Ferodo/Mintex ?

I overhauled my brakes some 5000mls ago, and fittted new "Dimple" front Discs and "Green Stuf" front pads.
I'm not too impressed with the Green Stuf pads as they seem to produce far
to much dust and the performance is'nt as I would expect either.
The escort is a '92 XR3i 1.8L Zetec 130ps RQB engine with RS2000
brakes and running gear.
I'm toying with replacing the front pads with perhaps .."FERODO DS performans units or maybe MINTEX M1144 Pads.
Has any one out there used either of these two or experienced similar
probs with Green Stuf pads.
Any feed back , comments or advice would be helpful ...
Thanks Rustler "The Oldest Cabbier"

Green stuff pads are probably on a level par with motor factor pads mate, just painted green

Ferodo DS2500 are what you want and the difference is night and day.

This isn't a track car (just FYI - I know he never mentioned use) so Ferodo DS2500 really are overkill and will be a pain from cold on the road.

I've used the Mintex on a few road cars and rate them tbh

I'm pretty sure he said he is thinking about the ferodo DS range?

Green stuff are very wooden and dusty
Mintex 1144 are alot better but very dusty.
DS2500 are excellent on the road, work well from cold & easily the best of this bunch imo for our middleweight cars. I run these on my cossie.

Aware of that, sorry should have been even pickier in my initial response (tongue in cheek as I know this could be read as being a dick)

Thanks guys for your input. So far it seems that the DS2500 comes out as
the favourite . I'm not quite sure now how Has87 rates the DS2500.?
Just to clarify our situation, the cabby is used as a fast road car , Over here in France we often able to exceed the max speed of 80.8mph by 20mph+.

Ferodo DS2500 get my vote, much better than the DS Performance pads and not that much more expensive.

When I used to be able to get them cheap, (a mate was sponsored by EBC) I used to use Reds on mine, thought they were pretty good, but were quite hard on the discs!

I've not been impressed with DS2500s on mine to be honest.
Ran it on the road for a while, they bedded in fine but then seemed to then go off a bit with normal road driving. Went and did a bit of a track day and to start with the brakes were absolutely shocking, but after a few heat cycles and they came back and were ok for the rest of the day.
for my new brakes i have a set of Hawk HPS pads which seem to get some good reviews, and they were half the price of others so i'll give them a try. If im not impressed it will be back to mintex.

ds3000

"off road use only"

they are outside of coefficient of friction to be (legal) on the road,

awsome bite and unfadeable on our full race golf mk1 track car,

Was this road or track? I thought yellows were more of a track day pad?
