Home Hub 5 keeps dropping ethernet ports?
I have BT Infinity 2 with the Home Hub 5.
There is two CAT5's that go into the back of the HH5.
One goes to behind the TV in the living room, this is plugged into a 5 port switch which shares the connection between the TV, Youview box and the PS3.
The second one goes up to the attic to an 8 port switch which supplies my computer and an Xbox360.
So my issue...
The HH5 keeps dropping the ethernet port that the switch in the attic is connected to.
The only way to reseolve this then is either to restart the home hub or unplug the Cat5s from the back of the router and plug them in to the other two empty ports. It's getting fustrating now as I'm having to do it 3/4 times a day.
I thought the switch may be at fault so I replaced it yesterday and it's still happening.
I'm trawlled through all the settings in the Home Hub GUI wondering if there is a time out on the ports but can't find anything that would cause this issue I have.
Here's come pictures of my setup just incase you can identify any issues. Excuse all the tangles of cables, we have not long moved in. :smileyembarrassed:
