2WD Sapphire Cosworth Moonstone Blue
Hi this is a reluctant sale of my pride and joy
1989 G420 VML
HPI clear
99,000 miles and 15 previous owners.
tax 30/09/2014
MOT 18/7/2014
The body is a good one , panel gaps are nice with original front wings and bonnet.
The paint is good in general but needs the front bumper (straight) repainting along with centre grill.
The front tyres need replacing as do the front pads
Drivers seat has a small rip/hole in the bolster.
Standard nice cloth interior no holes in dashboard
Boost gauge pod on the drivers pillar I've never used it .
The underside has been treated with wax oil and undercoatings this was how i got it, she seems pretty solid underneath and the boot area is good.
It does however started to show a small rust area lower rear arch .
The back panel needs sorting out as I cant run my ambers somebody previously drilled holes for the 4x4 lense/surround
The diff does what it should but ideally needs a rebuild.
I have a receipt from previous owners of a rebuilt T5 it selects well and doesnt grind or crunch . The clutch is tiny bit juddery pulling away im used to tbh (flywheel prob needs skimming) no slip though.
ABS light is 50/50 on and off. Not had it looked at.
I will change the oil this week along with a filter, new sump gasket along with a standard sump going back on. Im keeping the sump as its quite a rare thing I believe and has value.
Engine rebuilt roughly 4k ago.Engine number KRO1234 from my old 2wd saph G*** OUF .Its my 2nd rebuild, the engine owes me a small fortune .
205 +1mm
t3 TT (never bought it myself , but had it 9 years and been brilliant so far)
Pocketed 4x4 pistons
Good cyl head (not totally sure on depth) with a mild port.
Grp A HG
MSD stg1
scorpion
lattice
Now I will be honest about its handling its not that desirable lol . I changed tyres at the back and since then it feels a bit twitchy, Hankooks have a flex in the sidewall and has given it that unsettled feeling I think sometimes.
rear diff mount upgrade with main beam bush upgrade and powder coated beam.
I must of missed things out will post a few older pics I already have and hopefully tonight or tommorow get some better closer ones etc.
1st place this car is for sale and only place at the moment.
Im asking for £6000 ovno
PM me or 07947 905052 Mike
As above Im hoping to get the oil changed along with the sump but having difficulty getting a slot time at my mechanics. Will update any progress on that.

Thanks people there are a few more niggles if im fair even more. I've always felt the gearbox tunnel area is noisy ish my old car was quiet compared but have got used to it. the diff engagement feels sloppy not springy and fresh. But the back digs in nice and solid and 'together'. Its not an obvious feeling but it is there.
Jessie rs thats exactly what this car is , just needs a wise well spent few money to make it finished.
Honesty , right the batt is in need of changing too. I have an alternator rewire from CW looms can go with it too. Has RS ecu cover too.
