A Reg FORD SIERRA XR4i 2.8 V6 TURBO, mk1 3 door
Hi guys, I've decided to sell my mk1 XR4i Turbo, owned by myself for 18 months now, had it advertised a couple of times in the last 12 months but never really rushed to put it back for sale as I love the car to pieces and puts a massive grin on my face everytime I take her for a drive, I just simply don't have the time to use it (covered approx 175 miles in 18 months!!) and will be running out of secure indoor storage shortly after xmas.
To save me writing everything out, here is the link to the advert I've just placed on piston heads
http://www.pistonheads.com/classifie...-parts/1909416
and here is a link to just under 100 pictures...

The car is in absolute superb condition throughout, I bought it from a guy who originally lived in plymouth yet was living in Germany at the time of my purchase so hasn't really been to many shows etc and especially hasn't been seen much by folks in the north west and has been in dry storage for most of the past 4/5 years.
Please let me know if there's any info you need etc, I may consider taking a much cheaper PX that I am not affriad to leave parked up outside but I would much prefer a straight cash sale...
Thanks, Matty

Thanks for the comment mate & I hope it doesn't take too long, I'm not pressed to sell but with very rarely using it and by the end of January I'll not have as much dry storage as I do now so makes sense to sell really
I'll repost the link now, thanks for spotting that .......

Yeah I put it on e.bay about 4 months ago and I think about 6 months prior to that, nothing but idiots wanting to swap for utter crap but what did I expect?...
As for the price, going of the condition, the amount of money spent and from looking on other sites at what others are asking and what others have sold for I feel it's fair but you're entitled to your opinion and appreciate the input

Yeah I'm not one for sulking at what people have to say.
And yeah it just needs the right person, theres an arse for every seat.!!
Had a bit of interest already so hopefully will go in the next few weeks.

Can you please state a price and all relevant details on this thread rather than just a link to a outside advert

1984 A Reg, Sierra 2.8 V6 XR4i with Turbo Conversion = Ł5,499 o.v.n.o.
I may take a cheaper PX, preferably 80's Ford or VW, any modern VW, Audi, BMW or something really unusual or American LHD...
Only 100,170 miles, MOT August 1st 2014, TAX just expired but is available at extra cost as I'm still fully insured.
Owned by myself for 18 months, the V5c log book is in my name & at the address where you will view the vehicle, I've only done approx 175 miles since I've owned, simply through lack of spare time & me not wanting to go out in the rain.
The last keeper before me had it for over 10 years & is the one who spent a lot of his hard earned cash on the car, full service history and a humongous amount of invoices/reciepts, it had quite a decent service in June 2011 at approx 99k.
Full engine rebuild when the turbo conversion was done in approx 2001 & 7th injector added shortly after with seperate controlable ECU.
This work, plus much more was done at Alan Jefferey, (enginetuner.co.uk), down in Plymouth.
Genuine cosworth front bumper & grille
3 door cosworth seats & door cards re-trimmed with same material
3 door cosworth/rs500 alloys
3 door cosworth hubs
Cosworth clutch fitted
Ltd slip diff
Cosworth front brake setup & red stuff pads
Cosworth spec anti roll bars/polybushes
This car is in remarkable condition for it's age & will be appreciated by anyone who views it.
If you need to know more, as I stated in the original post, just ask me (on here please & not through PH).
I am located in Wigan, Greater Manchester if anyone is wishing to view.
Lastly, sorry if this offends anyone as certianly not my intentions to do so...
I understand everyone has their opinion to the value of other people's vehicles, I also think the same when I see some cars advertised, and I know you're simply expressing your views but it can sometimes be quite damaging to a sale when people comment underneath an advert about the price, only time will tell if a car is going to sell at the advertised price, if it doesn't then the seller can take it from there and decide wether to drop.
I buy & sell cars for a living, and although this is one of my own cars and never purchased for profit, I have still done as I do with every car I sell and researched the market as to what I feel "fair", but as with every sale, there is normally always room for negotiation, which is what most people enjoy the best when purchasing their next toy.
Again thanks for the nice comments but any regarding price, I'd really appreciate if you could please keep to yourself (unless it's making me a sensible offer )
Thanks, Matt

Seen this at Alan Jeffries a few years ago great spec car and mint condition. I have one of these myself and their always put down in comparison with a Cosworth, but are a much better car in standard turbo trim than a standard Cossie, I bet that goes very well with that spec.

Thanks for the comment. Yea the last keeper spent a lot of time (and money) down there with the car and it really is a credit to the garage and the last owner.
