Default converting servo to abs

I can't see why but hope you guys can confirm/deny
Is there any reason that i can't do away with the crappy servo and replace it with an abs pump/accumulator setup?
I dont want full abs just the assistance and as i'm going to be fitting larger calipers over the winter I though this route might be beneficial?
As far as i can see the pump/accumulator is self contained when it comes to the pressure side of things and i am aware that i will, need an abs master cylinder as well.
Cheers.

It's a long winded way around the crappy servo problem, but yes you could do what you plan, but why not just replace the servo ?
