Default 1979 Pinto

On the look out for someone with contacts in the right places. A friend is trying to get his hands on a 1979 Pinto front windscreen. Has anyone got any knowledge of one or know someone who may specialise in this sort of thing?

Thanks in advance,

Ben.

I think he means a ford pinto, a car sold in America.

Yeah I thought the same! But when I searched it, I was led to the ford pinto that as said, was release to the American market. Just makes it more awkward but I'm sure the knowledge in here will put me on a trace to getting one.

I have faith 😀

Wasn't it the Ford Pinto that was allegedly supposed to blow up if it got hit up the arse?!!!

The car that nearly ruined Ford. Ford knew about the likelihood that the fuel tank that was mounted just in front of the rear bumper would set on fire, if rear ended.

Instead of doing anything about it, Ford calculated that it was cheaper to pay the insurance claims than fix the problem.

One thing that made it worse was, that if the car was rear ended the doors would usually jam shut, so the occupants would be incinerated.
