its the sheer acceleration mate . everyone gets used to power dying off past 100 but when a car keeps pulling like its the last day on earth it fucks your mind !! but the funny bit was rods son was sat in the back and shout dad take him on the motorway and put the gas on i was like shit im sat in a car with a old fart that cant see over the steering wheel FUCK THAT !!!

 

Mate ive been in some very fast cars but it was mental i doubt anything i ever go in in the future will ever touch it

Just to add to the GT35/Zetec debate as only just seen this.

Here's a 2.1 Zetec with a ported head, standard valves, on a GT35 at 1.7 BAR, revving to 7600rpm.



To be fair it was on it's way to making more than that as you can see from the graph.

The head then lifted which seems to be what happens to all Zetecs pushing into the 500+ bhp mark. In fact, Rollinz, yours is the only one that hasn't done this yet I think!

Lee has started fitting M12 stud conversions to stop this happening on his 500+ bhp engines.

Alex ST's engine now runs them after lifting the head at Central Day.

374bhp @ 7200rpm and only 10psi

The selonoids for the blitz are Ł250 but no one seems to stock them,

So currently watching some second hand units on ebay,

Don't chase the big top MPH target unless your car is really safe for it. Look at Luke's Fiesta, that is kitted out to do it with ease of safety. True, it can roll in any circumstances, but hitting those speeds you'd be ridiculous not to have the safety precautions in place. Stick to track days.
