Default Best tyres?

Hi ALL, looking at replacing all 4 tyres, on my Focus. Just thought I would ask you all, what is the best or worst?

I would just go with a big name for normal driving Michelin, Pirelli, Bridgstone etc..

another vote for uniroyal rainsport 3's. its the only tyre ill buy for both my mercs. the grip is amazing in the wet in both my big rear wheel drive C320 estate and little front wheel drive A210. its not just a wet weather tyre though, the grip in the dry is just as impressive. the price is reasonable, a 205x40x17 is about Ł70 fitted. not sure how much the 225x18 was though as i got them in my alloy wheel package.

Best is subjective, though I must say that I'm very pleased with my Pirelli Cinturato P7's. Got them at 4wheelonline. Good traction on dry roads and very strong in wet conditions.

Buy Kumho Ecsta HS51 tyre if your budget suits.

Kumho Ecsta HS51 is not bad but I think Pirelli Cinturato P7 is a better option. What do you think?

Uniroyals are great - I had the original RainSport's on my XR3i back in the day and they were superb. The grip in the wet is phenomenal. The only problem with them is hey can wear quickly due to being a slightly softer compound (like Yoko's can also do - the A520's wore ridiculously quickly)

I've had a set of Hankook V12 Evo (K110) tyres on my Lexus for the past 5 years, and recently replaced them with a set of V12 Evo2's (K120). I'd have to look at the mileage now to see how many I put on the first set but they wore well and had good grip - the IS isn't the most powerful thing on the road, but you still had to give it some, with the TRC off, to get it unstuck. Good value for money, my only gripe to them was they weren't the quietest tyres. That being said, I couldn't say they were any louder than a Goodyear or Pirelli might have been on the same car.
