Default Tyre valve leaking, never had this before?

I dont mean from the rubber steam bit, thats fine, basically i was checking the pressures as you do, then i took the pump off the valve and the air just comes out as if your pressing the button with your finger nail, obviously this is stuck in, ive tried moving it with a knife/pen and putting the pump back on and off but its just pissing out

The only thing stopping the air is the valve cap thats screwed on, why does this have to happen on a sunday

Can it be unstuck somehow or is it to the garage and new valve time?

Wouldn't mess about with it, for the sake of a few quid it'd be a new one for me.

if you have a valve key simply unwind it out and fit another from a spare wheel etc

Didnt even know it winds out lol

Ill have a play around with it later, if not ill just have a new one fitted at the tyre place then, just abit annoying when its your only mode of transport

Cheers folks

It happens a bit on the alloy valves you can get but you can normally sort it by letting the air out and put a drop of oil in the valve then pump it up
Failing that then do as above

Good tip that, wouldn't have thought you could put oil on it, I guess it won't hurt.

Anyhow, I've managed to play about with a screw driver and get the little button to pop back out and stop the air as it should. Won't be touching it until I get it sorted properly
