Default tyre age

I have found some tyres for sale, they are mega mega rare.
I don't know what should be a stay away age tyre though ?

they are age stamped 2004 but have been stored correctly and in stock with a massive german tyre supplier.
i don't know if i should be worried about 9 years old or not ?

I've got tyres from 2004 on the back of my 3dr... They are harder than robocop's cock tbh. You can see how the rubber has almost 'cured' over time.
As soon as it's spent its time on the dyno early next year they are being chucked.
Not sure how an unused/dry stored tyre would be though mate...

My car has been stood for 2.5years in a lock-up the tyres will be chucked in the bin after that time, no idea if they are still OK but i dont intend finding out.

By "stored correctly" I assume you mean off the rims, in a dark, cool environment. I don't know if I would use them but just pointing out that it is quite different from rods situation.

the D40's on the back of my 3dr are at least 20 years old. As previously mentioned, hard as a brick and not worth a light tbh
