Testing the future
a lot of people struggle in the winter, particularly with RWD, as the tc/esp cuts the power on them when they try to accelerate as they are doing it too harshly.

Well I have never used them but I heard about them alot. they are mostly used on those areas which have heavy snow falls in winter. Because winter tires have a good grip on the road instead of other tires and their are less chances of slipping on the snow. That is all which I know about them. But I never used them because in my area there are not so much snow falls in winter.

Been using winter tyres every winter for over 20 years ,laugh every winter at the amount of people still not using them, running michelins at the moment and they are fantastic ,these tyres are even good in heavy standing water ,no aqua planing at all ,travel all over europe skiing etc and have no problems ,got them on a set of 16" alloys, just swop from the 18" wheels in mid nov and swop back in april
Any ski trips planned I'm off to les arcs in a few weeks

Wee bit warm for them this eve (car saying it's 12/13 deg outside) but was thoroughly impressed with them in the wet on a run to Reading and back again. Lots of standing water on the M25 and M4, and some pretty deep stuff on the A4 too, and these Uniroyals cut through with not even a hint of aquaplaning, not a hint of snatching, or anything other than just running true.
