Default Please help with off set question

The question ref to a mk3 golf

Does anyone know what off set I would need to bring the wheels just proud of the arches
I'm talking a fraction couple of mm at the most

The wheels Iam ordering are comp mo6 or comp pd's

The standard off set is et35 to et42

I'm thinking somewhere around et20 ?????

Any thoughts

What width are the wheels on it currently, and what width are the wheels you're buying?

I've got 18x8's on at the mo but not sure off off set

Suppose I'm gonna have to go out in the dark and take a look but think the wheel is gonna have to come off and it's raining

yeah saw it in the flesh a few times, only way to tell is know the exact offset of the wheel you have fitted and see how many mm it currently is from rim to arch and then that gives you the correct offset you can fit to make them stick out further

Ahh, well if you're sticking 18x8's on again, then you can just measure by offset. If the width is different, you can't.
