Default recommend me some tyres

hi peeps,

not long ago i bought some escos wheels for my escort mk6 estate and they came fitted with 195/40r16's.

as you can imagine theyve got a right stretch and the appearance isnt my sort of thing.

im looking at some 205/45 r16 87w's but i want some with a thing rim protector to reduce the appearance of a stretched tyre.

im prefering an asymetrical trye too as i find these better in ice/snow over the winter.

my current tyres are falken 912's and do perform quite well considering the stretch and my suspension setup, but dont have much of a rim protector

I reckon a 215 40 would be a better option

205/45's just seem more readily available, cheaper & will fit better if i go lower on the shocks.
