They will work with any chip or map, the driver is completly seperate on L1 L6 L8, and most P8
Some P8 applications may have Wasted spark enabled in the chip, and therfore does not need the driver, but in this case you have the issue of powering the rev counter by some other means.
Either way, if your car is currently running on std ignition, then fitting this kit will make it run on W/S without any chip modifications at all.
the gaps are simply the sensor gaps for crank sensor and phase sensor.

Will the hecounter revs be half or double of what they are when the kit is fitted. I heard people fitted the mk6 escort rev counter bits in behind the cossie rev counter as it were?

Look at the link it totally transforms the car mate. Well worth it bud
