Hi Guys,
I have just bought a Mondeo Ghia X 2.5v6,
I have the spanner symbol lit up permanenently on the dashboard, I looked through the owners manual but they do not list options for the 2.5 engine, they only go up to the 2.0 engines.
In the manual I have it says there is a switch in the glovebox area that you simply press to make the light go out.
This switch is not in my glovebox, Is it located somewhere else or have they scrapped the switch idea completley.

On the dash near the symbol itself there should be a little botton to press you might need a very small screwdriver press it for 4 seconds and the light will go off.

if this dont help post up more details of the car EG year

have you actually taken the glovebox door off and loooked to the left as mine is tucked up in the corner.

 

Hi Guys, I didn't notice the reset button so i'll look again tomorrow, the car is a 1997 model (facelift) mondeo Ghia X,
I did not remove the glovebox but I did have a good look around it and saw nothing, From the booklet it looks as though the button should be staring me in the face. If there is no reset button near the spanner symbol on the dash i'll remove the glovebox.

Theres a button next to the symbol, Its really small so I havn't been able to press it yet but it looks like its going to do the job.
