just wondering firstly, how much is a water pump?
can anyone with a little experience around cars do this, any special tools needed, how do i go about doing it?

1. about 60-150 depending on what one u buy (pattern or genuine ford)
2. allan keys, screwdriver, gasket sealer
3. its very easy, drain cooling system, take hoses off, undo allan bolts, take pump off, clean old gasket off block, put new one on (might as well get new thermostat at the same time, and fit it)
the key issue is preparation. Make sure the block is all clean and flat and it shouldnt leak

i can do my thermostat housing an water pump with the rad in situ - u need a allen bit socket so you can get up close - mine doesnt have A/C though, nnot too sure if the ac rad is behind (in the way) or infornt of the main rad and intercooler though on a AC car.
