Default Flickering Cossie Battery Light

2wd cossie, light flickers from time to time, not constant.

Apart from the wire from the light to the alternator, what else should I look for ?

Thanks

Not checked anything yet, just wondering what else I should be looking for when I pop the bonnet.

-Alternator could be on its way out, but I would expect the light to glow rather than flicker, it physically goes on and off...

my saff battery light on dash some times came on very dimly and if I tapped the top of the dash it went out till the next time, IT was the plug that goes into the back of the clocks one of the wires was loose in the muti plug so NOT always making a good connection!

Been and had a look, it's all fixed, so here's another one for the list...

The charging wire from the alternator back to the battery had come loose off the connector
I reckon it's actually gradually broken off as the wires looked rusty when I peeled the insulator off.
Worst, the insulator was all burnt, either because it had been touching the alternator case and shorting to ground, or, due to the heat from the exhaust manifold

Anyway, brand spanking new red cable now in place

Thanks for your helps lads
