Default service

Hi, I'm looking to give my S1 a service soon and was after a bit of advice.
What oil
What plugs
What panel filter
what plug leads(possibly)

Only bought car 3 mths ago and while its locked up for the crappy weather thought i might as well give it once over.Any advice would be more than welcom as i'm fairly new to this site and to the rs scene.
Cheers TIM

Welcome to PF!!

Ok, in my opinion:

Oil: recommended is 0w40/5w40, although some people run slightly thicker due to the top ends on these cars being noisy, make sure its fully synthetic too. Im running my series 2 engine on 10w40 Mobil 1 (my mate works for Renault and gets it me free )

Plugs: any good name should do (eg NGK), although if u look on eBay there is always genuine Motorcraft plugs on there.

Panel filter: Probably be worthwhile to get a K&N or similar panel replacement.

Plug leads: Ford Motorsport ones if u can find them (blue aswell ), or if not i believe Megaleads are good aswell?

Hope this helps and no doubt if what im saying is wrong someone will correct me
