Default Cossie Powersteering?

Are the pumps know to fail?
Mine has been off the road for 8 months, i've just started it and took it around the block, it has lost some fluid and it sounds noisy as fook.

Does it just need constant lubrication and it will go away, or is the assembly knackered?

MIGHT SOUND SILLY BUT IF LOW IN FLUID IT DOES GET NOISY OR CHECK THE PIPE ISNT BLOCKED.

if it is fooked, they are the same as MK5 Escort pumps - you may just need to swap over the inlet pipe fitting
