advice needed on moving the battery to the boot

hi i havent posted much really but im in the process of making a track toy and want to move the battery to the boot i know that i will need a battery box and longer cables to reach the front but do i need anything else and also do i need to run a earth cable to the front or do i just mount the earth to the body near the battery

Thickest cables u can afford, and the more earths the better, personally i would earth close to the battery and run a seperate earth to the engine bay. Dont forget to put some kind of circuit breaker inline, if you have a crash without one, and it gets sliced by the body that nice un-fused Positive cable will make quite a spectacular firework display!!
