Default Escort hot idling/running....?.

Guys..I`m a newbe to the forum,So please be Sympathetic....
The problem i have is with a 1995,1.4 mulit-point injection escort...I have cleaned out all the breather pipes, tried another airflow meter, tried another water temp sensor(Under the inlet manifold) Cleaned every connection/plugs and still the problem persists.
The car will start and idle no problem whilst cold,BUT As soon as the temp geuge starts to move from cold the engine starts to hunt and within a few min from there even trying to keep the engine running with the throttle ..Will not allow the engine to tickover OR Run...And will not start untill cold again...
I have noticed if i disconnect both the airflow plug "AND" the lambda sensor plug,The engine will tickover no problem,But replacing just ONE of the plugs of either component stops the engine again...I have tried another airflow meter..Still the same....
Any ideas guys please......?.Kev.

No ideas guys....?.To add to the above...I have cleaned out the idle control valve,Tried another mushroom breather thingy..This made the car a little smoother,But it still hunts whilst getting warm...
Surely,Some of you ford guys have come across this problem before......?.Kev.

I know you have tried it but it sounds like coolant temp sensor to me, is there more than one? Whats the wiring like to the sensor?

Coolant temp sensor oir lambda sensor are most likely culprits.
