Was driving my car the other today prity hard, was in second when i heard a bang from the front end, now when driving i'm getting a vibration from front passanger side. shaft feals ok but car has been lowered and heard of shafts popping out. Any ideas? Shaft joins, front diff?? Heard of using longer xr4x4 shafts on lowered cars. Just thought i would ask before getting under it.

 

i had the same a short while ago.
i'm still on standard alloys and i lowered it 30mm, i've now found out you shouldn't lower it more than 10mm on standard rims!!
also, my engine mounts were knackered which allowed the engine to twist enough to drop the driveshaft onto the t.c.a!!
scared the shit outta me!!

My car is on 19's and lowered on coilovers, im away back to work now so cant sort the car for a few weeks but, just trying to find out if it xr4x4 shafts that people fit to there lowered 4wd cars. sure i heard that there 15mm longer but still fit straight in???? Had a quick check of my car before i went away and the shaft still feels to be in position but dont knowif one of the joins are away. Would the diff make this sort of vibration if its went, only getting vibration on the passanger front wheel when its under load.

 

front left engine mount, same prob on mine, get it fixed asap!
