hey guys im wondering if anyone can tell me if an lsd out of an escort rst will fit into a fiesta gearbox and if so is there much hassle involved will i be able to use the original shafts or do i need escort ones?

 

Hello mate it would be so much easier to fit a series 2 gearbox, no need to take apart etc you can pick them up quite cheap any way
also the shafts are the same as I put one in my old fiesta turbo and it was much better to drive

that would be handy alright but i was thinkin the gearing mite a bit different

 

The gearing on the escort box is much better than the fiesta and should provide more top end... As im sure the final drive ratio is diff.... slightly longer me thinks....
