Default 4wd conversion, which transmission tunnel???

I'm currently pricing 4wd for my puma once its sprayed.

Sorted out rear suspension problems and transverse mounted 4wd issues.

Now need to price up longitudinal mounting for either cossie or zetec turbo!

obviously i need a much bigger tunnel at the front for the mt75 gearbox and slightly deeper tunnel rear wards to clear prop.

Can i cut a tunnel out of a sierra shell to have welded in??

if so do I need to get a specific cossie one or will a normal RWD or xr4x4 one do???

Thanks
Warren

Nothing will be a straight forward fit so I guess you will have to fabricate a special.

if you take one from a sieraa, it must be from a 4x4 one, although not necessarily cosworth.

Hi i thought this might be some usefull to you in some way, a little while ago i had an engine conversion on my fiesta they guys who carried it out had a 4x4 2001 fiesta, i recall them saying they used a mitsubishi evo 4 running gear which fitted a lot easier than the other methods they considered. The tunnel / housing they just cut and welded in metal panels through the spaceframe instead of finding a donar.
