Default how do you maintain a charge cooler

ive had my charge cooler for 2 years now and havent done anything to it so just need to know if are you suppose to maintain them also if i want to top the water up do i fill it up to the top of the header tank sorry for askin maybe dumc questions but i aint got a clue about them

should be fairly maintenance free, i'd check the wiring to the pump for any damage. change the water too, just drain the old water out and fill it back up to a couple of inches from the top of the header tank, loosen off one of the hoses slightly (the highest) to try to force the air out.

is it on a separate cooling circuit?

do you just use an antifreeze mix to protect against corrosion, or just plain water?

Dont know about a seperate cooling circuit but the pump switches on when the ignitions on and also yes it had antifreeze mix in there already and is clear blue with no dirt so doesnt look like it needs changing but i think i will top it up just a little bit as the water level is in the middle of the header tank thanks

the anti freeze mix should be 50/50 water/antifreeze!

there should be a swirl pot for the charge cooler ! thats where u top it up!
