Fuel system to 550bhp
Hi,
How do I make the fuel system in a way that it delivers fuel enough to 550bhp? Would it be enough with only one fuel pump or does it require that you mount two parallel pumps. I could really use some detailed information about this as I plan to get started asap.
I also welcome other solutions or pros/cons
I would prefer answers from people with practical experience with this particular issue.
The car we’re talking about is an Escort Cosworth from 1993.

Bosch make a pump which fits into the tank. I am not sure if this will flow for 550 bhp but if it won't I think the only way to get round it is use this pump to lift the fuel into a swirl/collector pot then 2 pumps to supply the fuel down -6 fuel lines. You will probably also need to uprate the pump wiring as well.
You will need to confirm but I think the Bosch in tank pump is 0 580 254 003.
