Default very loud whistling

can anyone help??????
i got a escort turbo s2 and when it boost's up there is a very loud whistling noise (not the usual whistle the the turbo makes when boosting).does anyone know what this is?

unbalanced shaft perhaps ?? is it a recon turbo or a fault that your original has developed .

I had a recon one a few years back with a cossy compressor wheel , that screamed like a bitch but boosted well and never gave me any probs .

does it sound like a screeching sound as my s2 does the same thing when hitting around the 4000 rpm mark. Its not wheelspin but sounds like it.

nah dont sound like that it sounds like a wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh if that makes sense. and no im not mad. it boosts up but holds back a bit especially in 4th and 5th. someone told me it might be the gasket actually on the turbo housing ?????????????????????.
