My 2wd saff has failed its mot on n/s chassis leg and rear brake pipes.I am going to remove the rear cradle complete with diff as a complete assembly so i can get good access to the legs.Is this the best way of doing it?Is thre anything i should be aware of before starting? It looks pretty straight forward but any advice would be much appreciated.

it is very straightforward. don't forget to take the brake pipes out of the brackets in the body though, otherwise the axle will hang off the flexibles.
while you're there, i would replace the doughnut bushes at a minimum, and inspect and replace all others as necessary. why not also change the brake flexibles to braided. i would also drain the diff and refill with fresh oil.
