Hi there looking for some help.

I have got a 1991 4x4 sapphire and it mis-fires on constant throttle, when reved it runs sweet and it also wont idle.
I have changed the plugs, crank sensor, phase sensor and had a general look around.
This is a strange one as parked car up fine then next time went to start it this happened, any ideas???

Hi,

May be the TPS.
To be sure, disconnect TPS and run. If engine is OK, TPS is faulty. Remove with throttle case, dismantle carefuly, and clean up resistor track with alcohol very very light.

Thanks for the help, got it sorted. Found to be map sensor broke.
