Hi, i'm in the process of building a Mk2 XR2, it's not meant for any specific series or indeed as a race car, my primary aim is to build a Track Car...
Now onto my question, I'd like to convert the rear suspension to independant from the beam that is fitted as standard, my plan is to fabricate turrets and use coilovers, does anyone know of any sites i could use to do my homework? I dont really want to start cutting and welding willy nilly... Thinkin along the lines of like 2 triangulted whishbones mounted to a focus hub maybe?
Any advice or suggestions would be wicked

Try to go for parallel arms rather than triangulated.
Escort rear hubs would be a simple choice.
Bracket for the tie bar, brackets for the arms, and then make some struts to suit.
Job done in about 2 days if you take it easy
